100 Days Of Art
Artists…I assume you all have had a creative block. The want to create is there, but the creative juices just aren’t flowing? Well, that’s where I’m at. So, what’s the solution?
CREATE!
Doesn’t have to be good. You don’t have to love it. You don’t even have to like it. Just. Create. Something. I have started an artist’s journal to jump start the right (creative), not just the correct ; ) side of my brain. So, enter, “100 days of art”.
Everyday for 100 days, I will be creating a piece of art. whether it’s in my journal, or working on a bigger piece. Or trying a new technique that someone suggests. I will post a photo of the progress that I have made each day. I hope to gain some constructive criticism, ideas on what to create next and some new artistic friends!
So follow me on my journey of blood, sweat and most definitely tears! But most of all colors, textures, techniques and a new view of the creative process.
Day 1…
Todays’ process was a “don’t think about it and just do” type of exercise. I have a notebook with black paper pages. I used a white paint pen to loosely draw circles over and over, overlapping each other. I then took some metallic colored pencils and colored in complete random sections of the overlapped circles with different colors.
This was a very satisfying activity because I didn’t have to think about it and I could just let my hand do the creating.
